In the afternoon of July 14, The press conference of KCOB of Fujian CASCeramic Optoelectronics Technology Co., LTD(CASCeramic) is hold in Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences(FJIRSM), released worldleading kilowatt led packaging technology.

CASCeramic was founded by FJIRSM and Fujian Enterprises and Entrepreneurs Confederation. As the only platform of LED technology transfer and industrialization of FJIRSM, relying on the new COB technology of FJIRSM, CAS-Ceramic successfully developed 1000W COB-- K-COB.

Currently, the stability and reliable phosphor power packaging LED COB is only 200W in max in market. Although LED are widely applied in indoor lighting,  the high power HID lighting still aren’t replaced, especially in square, industry, port, etc.   CASCeramic deputy general manager and technical director Ye Shanghui said that over the years, CASCeramic improve LED light source by transparent phosphor ceramic materials, breakthrough from the material, together with special technology and structure, developed the super power of 1000W LED light source. Transparent ceramic phosphor material has high permeability, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good thermal shock, replace traditional fluorescent glue, as LED encapsulation material, under the same conditions, KCOB products with higher stability and reliability.

It is reported high power LED lighting products will significantly reduce the power consumption and carbon emissions, energysaving about 70% on average, and maintenance cost will reduce, too. If 50% of the Chinese light source were replaced with LED, it would saving 210 billion KW·h every year, equivalent to 2.5 years generating capacity of Three Gorges Hydroelectric Power Station. Benefit of economy and social is remarkable.
